The King of Art is a German-born universal artist, art scholar and entrepreneur who was born quite civilly as Martin Mangold. As a globetrotter, he has traveled the world since his youth and resides as a cosmopolitan in changing tax havens. On his travels he once needed souvenirs for the children of his friends and therefore wrote a little primer in which he slipped into the role of the King of Art as a fairy tale uncle and storyteller. He tried to convey values such as world peace, international understanding and anti-racism in a child-friendly way using color theory. These values are important to him - not only, but also - because he himself was always the foreigner on all his travels.

Since then his friends teased him

as the

King of Art.

This gave him the bold idea of creating a place where many things are different. Where clever profiteers are not condemned and art & artists are truly free. Where no taxes bleed people and dry the economy. A place where art creation and money making stand side by side on an equal footing. A place where the economic miracle is made and the harvest is enjoyed.

The idea for the art project of the

Kingdom of Art

was born.

Well, it's not quite as unusual as it might seem at first glance. In fact, all kingdoms were founded at some point, most of them when someone found himself destined to be crowned king.

For his art he reaped,

as usual in the scene a lot of praise and blame,

but constant dripping wears away the stone

and in the end stood the nobility.

Finally, on November 3rd, 2010, the suffix "King of Art" was entered in the artist's German identity papers.

The official justification was: "The artist is known, appreciated and recognized under this name nationally and internationally and has carried out various publications and art projects under this name and further work as King of Art is also secured by long-term contracts."

The Royal Court of the Kingdom of Art evaluates this fact as an act of recognition of the life's work of the King of Art by the competent authority in the Federal Republic of Germany.

The knighthood was thus
